The defending champions Bengaluru have not been in their best form in the season so far while their rival team Chennaiyin FC are also facing similar kind of problems in the ongoing season.
The 34-year-old defender thus becomes the fourth foreigner to stay on for Carles Cuadrat's side for the upcoming season.
Having taken over the reins from Albert Roca at the end of the 2017-18 season, Cuadrat, in what was his first stint as head coach of a team, led the Blues to their sixth title in as many seasons when they beat FC Goa in the ISL final at the Mumbai Football Arena in March this year.
