The constituencies going to the polls include Budgam and Nagrota in Jammu and Kashmir, Anta in Rajasthan, Ghatshila in Jharkhand, Jubilee Hills in Telangana, Tarn Taran in Punjab, Dampa in Mizoram, and Nuapada in Odisha.

In a representation to the Election Commission, the BJD leaders pointed out grave violation of the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) of this nature by submitting it before the Chief Electoral Officer Odisha.
The ruling party nominee, Suman, reached the Returning Officer (RO) along with the party leaders and workers, including the sitting Lok Sabha MP from Jhalawar, Dushyant Singh.
Election Commission of India (ECI) on Monday notified bypolls to the Nagrota and Budgam Legislative Assembly seats in Jammu and Kashmir on November 11.
