Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha was arrested by police on Tuesday after she staged a sit-in protest against the hike in the fare of state-run buses at Bus Bhavan in the city.
She also accused the government of issuing an order to change the corporation's status from private to public to facilitate the land mortgages.
BRS MLC K Kavitha on Monday threatened to send lakhs of postcards from women of Telangana to Congress leader Sonia Gandhi if the Congress -led state government failed to provide monthly financial assistance of Rs 2,500 as promised by the party during the assembly polls.
After the loss of a Rajya Sabha MP and six of its MLAs in recent times, the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) suffered a further setback as six of the MLCs defected to the Congress in the presence of Chief Minister and PCC chief Revanth Reddy and AICC in-charge Deepa Dasmunshi.
She plans to invite key women leaders from the BJP and the Congress including Sonia Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi, Smriti Irani and DK Aruna to join a sit-in during the winter session of Parliament.
According to the sources, Kavitha has sent the necessary documents sought by the probe agency through her legal representative.

BRS MLC said that if a woman has to be interrogated by a central agency, then as per law, she has a "fundamental right" to be questioned at her home.
