’18 lakh vulnerable pensioners left in the lurch’: Naveen slams Odisha govt for three-month delay in pension

Stepping up his attack on the BJP-led Odisha government, Leader of the Opposition and Biju Janata Dal (BJD) president Naveen Patnaik on Friday accused it of failing the state's most vulnerable citizens over the non-disbursal of social security pensions to nearly 18 lakh beneficiaries for the last three months, and urged Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi to ensure immediate release of the pending payments.

Leader of Opposition Suvendu Adhikari on Tuesday launched a sharp attack on chief minister Mamata Banerjee, accusing her of being “inhuman and insensitive” after she visited North Malda MP Khagen Murmu in a Siliguri hospital but allegedly ignored MLA Sankar Ghosh, who was admitted in the same facility.
