BJP is destroying democratic values and tampering with the democratic process: Akhilesh Yadav

Samajwadi Party National President Akhilesh Yadav said here on Thursday that the people are the real power in a democracy but the BJP is destroying democratic values and tampering with the democratic process.

The people of the state are vigilant regarding the 2027 assembly elections. This time, no trickery, force, deception, or tampering by the BJP will succeed, Akhilesh Yadav said, adding that the people have understood the BJP’s lies and plunder.

Addressing leaders and workers from various districts of the state at the Samajwadi Party state headquarters here, he stated that the law and order situation in the state is in a shambles. Crime is continuously increasing. Women and daughters are not safe. Brutal murders of girls have occurred in several districts, including Kannauj, Kaushambi, Pratapgarh, Ghazipur, Hathras, and Kanpur. The victims have not got justice. The BJP government protects the guilty and atrocities are committed against the innocent.

“The BJP government has deactivated the 1090 service, which was created during the Samajwadi Party government for women’s safety. Women and daughters were provided security and help through the 1090 Women Helpline service,” he alleged.

Akhilesh Yadav further said that the BJP government is trumpeting fake encounters and everyone knows that law and order cannot be improved through them.

The SP president said that the BJP government has failed on every front. Inflation, unemployment and corruption are at their peak. Corruption is rampant in every work and every department. Government money is being looted. Land is being illegally encroached upon. Land mafias are being protected by the BJP government. The poor are being treated unfairly. No one is getting justice.

“The BJP will have to pay a heavy price for this in the 2027 elections. The public understands very well that only under a Samajwadi government can a welfare state be implemented,” he claimed.
