Delhi BJP chief Virendra Sachdeva on Saturday chaired a coordination meeting of the state unit on the party's upcoming cadre training campaign set to commence countrywide, starting from March 7.
Nearly 300 minority community voters of Booth no. 22 in the Polba Rajhat village panchayat area of Chinsurah Bidhan Sabha today took to the streets to protest against the "mysterious” submission of Form 7, mentioning them as dead or shifted.
The chief minister began the day participating in a Swachhata Abhiyan (cleanliness drive) organised at the City Park here at Mansarovar in the morning in commemoration of the prime minister’s birthday that lasted for almost an hour.
He stressed that BJP programs are not for self-interest but are guided by the spirit of “Nation First.”
AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday appealed to the BJP supporters in Delhi to prioritize their family’s well-being over party loyalty, alleging that if the saffron party wins polls, it would mean the end of free electricity, water, healthcare, and women’s free bus travel.
The bodies were shifted to the government-run Gandhi Hospital and after autopsy, they were handed over to their families on Saturday.
Delhi government, led by chief minister Arvind Kejriwal could have found alternative ways to enhance the revenue, instead of announcing a new excise policy, said Adesh Gupta while addressing at the demonstration.
Earlier, UP law minister has assured that people involved in the violence will be punished and since the matter is sub-judice, opposition parties should not politicise the incident.
"A stretch of three km from the airport has been decorated to greet the Prime Minister. Our workers and common people are standing on both sides of the roads with cutouts and posters of the Prime Minister," said Delhi BJP vice-president Virendra Sachdeva
Nadda assured the party workers that the BJP stands with them, adding that the state is governed by the rule of law.
