Among the arrested gangsters is the kingpin of the gang, Parminder Singh alias Pindri, who was handling the operation of Bishnoi Gang in the Nangal-Rupnagar-Nurpur Bedi belt. 22 FIRs, including one of attempt to murder, have been registered against the notorious gangster in various police stations of Rupnagar, Haryana, Jalandhar and Patiala.
Bishnoi was produced on Sunday before the Patiala House Court which sent him to five days police custody, and was brought before the court again after the expiration of his remand.
Bishnoi, at present is in the custody of the Cell, which is expiring Sunday and the police might seek an extension of the remand.
"I have moved a petition before High Court for my client, we have requested in our plea to direct Tihar Jail authority and Delhi Police, that if Punjab Police comes to take Bishnoi to Punjab on transit or production remand, full security should be given to him," said Bishnoi's lawyer Vishal Chopra.
