Leader of the Opposition in the Bihar Assembly Tejashwi Yadav, on Monday, alleged that the NDA government has betrayed the women of Bihar, claiming that as the government sensed defeat in the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections, it opened banks even during the elections to influence voters.
In a letter, the Bihar Congress advised party members to stay away from district tour programmes organised by “leaders involved in anti-party activities.”
After failing to make an electoral impact in the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections and the Supreme Court’s rejection to entertain the plea to cancel the Bihar Assembly elections, Jan Suraaj Party founder Prashant Kishor, also known as PK, has launched a state-wide tour to strengthen the organisation at the grassroots.
The petition, filed under Article 32 of the Constitution, assails the direct transfer of Rs 10,000 to women voters in Bihar during the enforcement of the Model Code of Conduct.
Jan Suraaj leader Prashant Kishor’s long-awaited leap from political strategist to political contender was always going to be a high-stakes experiment. For years he had been the backroom architect of some of India’s most formidable electoral campaigns.

The Election Commission of India (ECI) on Sunday lifted the model code of conduct from Bihar, six states and one union territory following the conduct of Assembly polls and by-elections in respective states/UT.
The crushing defeat suffered by the RJD in the Bihar Assembly elections has now exposed deepening internal conflict within Lalu Prasad Yadav’s family, casting a shadow over the party’s future.
