The BCCI Vice President made this comment after the International Cricket Council (ICC) announced Scotland has officially replaced Bangladesh in the upcoming T20 World Cup.
The MP said it is very difficult to change the entire schedule at the last moment, and that's why Scotland was brought as a replacement for Bangladesh.
The directive followed fresh talks between the ICC and the BCB in Dhaka on Saturday, their second meeting in a week, where Bangladesh reiterated its willingness to play the World Cup, but only outside India.
The statement, however, stopped short of confirming whether Bangladesh would eventually play its matches in India.
Zimbabwe captain Brendan Taylor made 92 on the fourth day and nightwatchman Donald Tiripano put up some fight on the last day with 52.
Under Mortaza, Bangladesh played 87 ODI matches in which they ended up on the winning side on 49 occasions while losing just 36- an unmatched record in Bangladesh Cricket.
Zimbabwe had last toured Bangladesh in 2019 for a tri-series featuring Afghanistan as well. The African side have last played a Test there in 2018.
Meanwhile, Mashrafe Mortaza has welcomed the BCB's decision to increase Test match fees and split the players' contract into Test and limited-overs.
Ireland will now be hosting Bangladesh, New Zealand, Pakistan for limited-overs assignments before embarking on their tour to England.
Team India will play the first Twenty-20 International (T20I) of the three-match series against Bangladesh at Kotla on November 3.
