Anmol was also allegedly behind the firing outside Bollywood actor Salman Khan's residence in Mumbai last year.
Yogesh, alias Raju (26), an associate of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, made these claims while speaking to the media after being apprehended by the police.
The accused, during interrogation, disclosed that the contract was given to them to kill both Baba Siddique and his son Zeeshan.
Siddique, a leader in Ajit Pawar's faction of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), was shot at near Nirmal Nagar in Bandra Saturday night.
The initial investigation has also revealed that the three shooters -- Singh, Kashyap, and Gautam -- previously met in jail, where they allegedly came in contact with a member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang in Haryana.
