The theme for this year's International Day of Yoga was “Yoga for Healthy Ageing.”
The program is being organised by the Ayush Department of Andhra Pradesh government in association with Patanjali Yogpeeth, Haridwar.
The Patanjali Civil Service Academy offers a complete residential program within a "sattvic" (pure) environment.
In this fiercely contested event, India's 122-member team demonstrated unprecedented excellence by securing a total of 114 medals, comprising 102 gold, nine silver, and three bronze medals.
Ramdev said that students educated in ancient Gurukuls once led the world, and Patanjali Gurukulam is carrying forward this same Rishi tradition by preparing students for global leadership.
Describing PM Modi as a God-like figure, Ramdev said, “We congratulate him for the dreams that he lives for. He guides the country as prime minister. He gives directions (to the country), we must appreciate him.”
On the occasion, both Baba Ramdev and Acharya Balkrishna led the attendees in taking a pledge to plant trees and promote health at the individual, family, societal, national, and global levels.
The event aimed to provide a global platform to promote integration and coordination between Ayurveda and modern medicine.
Over 250 Divyang beneficiaries received artificial hands, legs, callipers, crutches, and other assistive devices free of cost during this public service initiative.
