Over 5 lakh devotees from across the country and even from abroad thronged the Ram Janmabhoomi to celebrate the Ram Janmotsav at the Ram Temple.
The resonant chimes of bells echoed through many math temples, including Kanak Bhawan and the temple nestled within the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi complex, heralding the auspicious moment of the Lord's birth.
The grand Ram Temple in Ayodhya, teeming with surge of devotees since early morning hours of Wednesday, witnessed a grand spectacle this afternoon as 'Surya Tilak' was performed on Ram Lalla.
According to officials, devotees started flocking to the ghats at night. 'Darshan' started at Ram Temple at 3:30 am.
The legislators will travel to Ayodhya on Sunday morning on buses arranged by the state government.
There was a queue of devotees at Hanumangarhi as well. The police administration had to struggle to control the crowd. The devotees who had entered the temple were being evacuated through the back route due to which many devotees got separated from their families.
According to officials, lakhs of devotees have thronged the temple since the consecration programme on January 22.
Earlier on January 22, the Big B had attended the consecration ceremony of Ram Lalla.
Of notable significance is the government's efforts to establish Ayodhya as the state's inaugural solar city. Progress in this endeavour is well underway, with significant strides witnessed in the installation of solar infrastructure.
