In a statement, Sinha said that enduring peace is gradually returning to Jammu and Kashmir and this achievement belongs to all citizens.
Post the abrogation, the state was filled with unpleasant incidents like stone pelting and flourishing of terrorist organisations.
“We will examine and give a date,” said a bench of Chief Justice D Y Chandrachud and Justice Pamidighantam Sri Narasimha as one of the petitioners sought early listing of the matter which is pending since long.
According to security forces, in 2018 there were 318 terror incidents, which came down to 173 in 2019 and 142 in 2020. Till July 31 this year, 57 incidents were reported.
