The Adani group gained a further foothold in the port sector on the eastern coast by acquiring the all-weather deep water Karaikal Port owner Karaikal Port Private Ltd.
The company has also revised its port cargo throughput by 25 per cent to 500 million tonne by 2025.
The port is expected to have volumes of 38 MT, revenues of Rs 1,840 crore and EBITDA of Rs 1,325 crore in FY21, it said.
It is all-weather, deep water, multipurpose port capable of handling fully laden super cape size vessels of up to 2,00,000 DWT, the statement said.
The 1,000 non convertible debentures (NCDs) allotted were of the face value.
