After an illustrious 13-year stint with Manchester United, Wayne Rooney has signed a deal with his former Premier League club Everton and is excited to meet his old friends on his return.
“Excited to be back at @Everton. Can't wait to meet up with @RonaldKoeman and the lads! #EFC,” Rooney said on Twitter, posing in a picture with the contract.
The 31-year-old striker played 559 matches for Manchester United, scoring 253 goals. The Red Devils bagged five Premier League, a Champions League, a Europa League and an FA Cup title since Rooney joined them in 2004.
With the departure of experienced striker, Manchester United have agreed to sign Romelu Lukaku from Everton for a whooping £75m.
