Five goals were traded in today’s Premier Division match between Mohammedan Sporting Club and United Sporting Club at Salt Lake stadium, the black-and-white brigade winning out 3-2.
The game saw contrasting scoring patterns in its two sessions, with goals by Josimar (11th minute), Dipendu Biswas (27th) and Basant Singh (39th) giving Mohammedan Sporting Club a 3-0 lead going into the break and Souvik Chakrabarty (53th) and Surojit Bose (60th) suggesting possibilities of an even ending, or a dramatic, last-gasp turn-around.
It did not come off but the action was relished by motley bands of fans scattered around the stands.
