The Indian football team rose two spots above to 105th position in the FIFA rankings released on Monday.
India produced a dominating performance to thump Macau 4-1 in their fourth qualification match for the AFC Asian Cup 2019 at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium in Bengaluru.

The victory ensured India a place in the Asian Cup 2019.

This dominant display shattered the previous tournament record of 10-0 wins, which India had previously achieved against Guam in both 1997 and 2005.
India heaved a sigh of relief as it didn't drop any place in the rankings after descending three spots in the previous rankings updated in June after a failed 2026 World Cup qualifying campaign.
The first list consisted of 26 players all of whom will be reporting for the camp on May 10.
