Nadda directs states to boost response measures against dengue, malaria

As the South West Monsoon advances deeper into the Indian subcontinent, Health Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda, on Thursday, directed states and Union Territories to strengthen surveillance, vector-control measures and healthcare preparedness to tackle a possible rise in dengue and malaria cases, according to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

Jairam Ramesh cites World Bank report to criticise Modi Govt’s response to India’s worsening air pollution crisis

In a post on X, Ramesh referenced the World Bank’s new report, A Breath of Change, which examines air pollution in the Indo-Gangetic Plains and Himalayan foothills. Describing the report as “comprehensive, evidence-based, and unambiguous,” he said its timing was critical, given the deteriorating air quality across much of the country.
