The All India Major Ports Cricket Tournament is a flagship sporting event organised annually by the Major Ports Sports Control Board to promote camaraderie, teamwork, and sportsmanship among port employees. The competition follows the T20 format, offering an opportunity for port professionals to showcase their cricketing talent on a national stage.

Teams representing major port authorities, including Visakhapatnam, Paradip, Mumbai, Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port (Kolkata), Jawaharlal Nehru Port, Chennai, New Mangalore, V.O. Chidambaranar (Tuticorin), and Deendayal Port (Kandla), are expected to compete for the title.

The cricket tournament is part of a broader sporting season for major ports, which also includes the 41st All India Major Ports Kabaddi Tournament, hosted by Paradip Port in early February, and the 25th All India Major Port Cultural Meet held in January. An annual athletics meet for port employees and their children is also conducted as part of the programme.
