The teaser dropped on June 12, eight days before it was supposed to. By the same afternoon, Salman Khan's lawyers were in Delhi High Court seeking an urgent stay. The director has since said he will not stop.

The production house, Sithara Entertainments, has issued a public statement on Wednesday (August 6), clarifying their stand and apologising if the film hurt anyone’s feelings.
