Fitness was with me even before I made it big on Instagram: David Edward Carpenter

David Edward Carpenter is a major success on social media and the world of financial services. And he credits his commitment to fitness for it. His social media is a testimony to his commitment towards his goals. As someone who follows a lifestyle filled with designer wear, luxury cars and the like, he has risen through to reach this level of online popularity.

He came from a humble background. Before becoming the golden boy of financial services in 2017, David had been waiting tables, living with his mother to save money so he could save up for training in finance. Previously he had dropped out of college to pursue his dreams of being an entrepreneur. It had gone well at first, but the company went under. So did his next attempt at starting his own company. In other words, Edwards become well acquainted with failure before he was a success. And all of these are constant themes in fitness.

“Nobody likes hard times,” Carpenter told the Deccan Chronicle in June, “but it’s the difficult experiences that serve as catalysts to help you become who you are truly meant to be.”

According to Carpenter, this is the major theme of fitness. “You have to accept the fact that you’re not where you want to be in order to eventually get there. You also have to be willing to work at it, push through. Get better. Find new ways to get better and eventually you will.”

Fitness has always been part of Carpenter’s life. In high school he was an avid athlete, playing varsity basketball at Shadow Mountain High School in Phoenix, where he was also the team captain.

“You learn early on how to lead, how to be part of but also take control of a team,” he says. “It’s not just about play or performance, but commitment. It’s about making sure you can balance a lot of movement and get both yourself and others to move as one. If you’re not at your peak performance – both physically and mentally – you can’t really make that happen.”

These skills are what allowed Carpenter to persevere through his own ups and downs. They reminded him that disappointment was temporary as long as he was willing to work at it. And they are what has allowed him to share his lifestyle with pride on Instagram, where he has over 144 thousand followers taking inspiration from him. In a crowded online market filled with fitness influencers, Carpenter has built his own unique brand.

His fitness regime and habits have inspired many towards achieving their goals. Today, he has built a reputation around dedication and devotion towards achieving goals. His achievements in the insurance industry along with his fitness-centric approach were instrumental in making him who he is today.
