Getting married soon? Congratulations! Hope everything is coming in order. We know, it’s your day and everything needs to be perfect, from the decor of the place to your unique bridal look, but don’t get caught up in their management.
That day, all eyes will be on you and there, on your glowing face, they shouldn’t find stress. It’s the day to look your best, healthiest, and happiest. Mind it, the bridal treatments and make-up would do only so much. Your joy and rouge-y look must come from within. To achieve that flawlessness, you need to perfect your diet.
And if you’re thinking that cutting down on your food or fasting spells would help, then stop your thoughts right away.
Crash dieting versus healthy eating

Isn’t pre-wedding diet important? Of course, it is. What you eat has a direct effect on how you look. Randomly cutting down on certain food group, will not help you achieve desired results. The mantra is ‘healthy eating as opposed to not eating’.
If you’re unsure about how to create this perfect balance between calories, appetite, and nutrition, then don’t shy away from consulting a nutritionist. If the commute is your issue, you can look for online consultation too.
Diet and Stress
Cutting down on your calorie intake suddenly may affect your body and mind. You may not notice, but internally your body would be dealing with a sudden distress. This topped with the mental and emotional anxiety of the wedding can elevate your overall stress level.
To avoid such a situation, start with the thumb rule of occasional dieting –
Add or reduce your calorie by 20 per cent.
If you need 2000 calories daily, consuming 1800 calories will help you stick to your diet plan without affecting your mood.
Diet and Skin
While you may be preparing a lot of things in advance, one thing you definitely can’t miss is looking after your glowing skin. Unless you are healthy from inside the natural glow and the flushed cheeks will be missing.
Wedding beauty tips for the bride

Stick to your workouts
Make sure to sweat and tone every day so your outfits drape gracefully and your skin looks cleansed. Aim for walking, jogging, running, cycling or swimming.
Cut out all the processed sugars
Carbs are vital, but processed carbs, such as chips, crackers, white bread, sugary cereals, white pasta, hurt your system and your skin. Stick to natural sources like sweet potato, quinoa, whole grain, rice, and oatmeal.
Keep it natural
Remove all the diet soda, unnatural flavoured waters, Splenda, and sweetened yogurt. Opt for coconut water and vegetable juices.
Plan
Make sure you don’t forget to eat. Create a meal plan for yourself and stick to it diligently.
Stay hydrated
You’ll be able to win over 50 per cent of your “bridal look” worries if you stay properly hydrated. Make sure you drink at least three to four litres of water in a day.
Snack natural
Don’t forget to squeeze in fruit smoothies, vegetable juices with chia, flaxseed, and pumpkin seeds. For intermittent snacking, carry unsalted, roasted nuts and fresh fruits in your bag at all times.
Morning routine
Drink two glasses of water followed by a fruit right after you wake up.
Over to you
What you eat has a direct effect on how you look. Make a bridal regime which includes good eating habits and exercise. Keep an eye out for your health and fitness, and enjoy to the fullest.
Let the camera capture only your joy and gratitude.
All the best!
