As trends everywhere is changing and the world of fashion and beauty is ever expanding to encompass more and shell out more “something new” each time, India’s Next Top Model will have a transgender participant for the first time ever.

Gauri Arora will be seen walking the ramp in the first episode of  India’s Next Top Model Season 3.

Last year, Gaurav Arora, “MTV Splitsvilla 8” contestant, changed his name to Gauri Arora after making it public about being a transgender.

“It takes a lot of courage for one to accept the reality and come out in public. A lot of people out there already know about my struggle. I hope my stint with ‘India’s Next Top Model’ gives courage to a lot of people out there who have not been able to come out,” Gauri was quoted as saying in a report by IANS.

In this new Next Top Model episode, Gauri will be seen flaunting a set of bikini.

“This is the first time I walked down the ramp after my reconstruction surgery. I felt extremely beautiful. I was a tad apprehensive about the fact that I had to put on the bikini and walk down the ramp on ‘India’s Next Top Model’ in front of seasoned judges like Milind Soman and Dabboo Ratnani,” Gauri said.

The show’s Season 3 will be aired on MTV on Saturday.
