Kids are what you make them. They are the one whom you care the most. For whom you want perfection. To conquer this, you can’t afford to be blind to their shortcomings. A simple life is not leaving them with current gadgets when you are not available for them. You are only contributing in complicating your and your kid’s life by making him a gadget fanatic over time. Think about your childhood days when there were no such appliances. Wasn’t that time with limited choices more wonderful and joyful for kids and their healthy upbringing?

Reverse the time again. Tell your kids that you are one of the special parents who will fill their lives with all colours of quality nurturing that they actually deserve. The recent generation children are very adept to accept a positive change in their lives. So, give a try. They will appreciate you definitely at one point in time when they will understand what they were lacking before and what harm they were causing to themselves.

It’s only you, who can develop virtuous interests in the child to do things other than using gadgets. Set a suitable timetable for your children. Wake them up an hour before their school. Send them in a good mood and a positive note. Once they are back, make their lunchtime a relaxing stint discussing their day, classwork, homework, friends and teachers in a fun chatting way. It may radically shift their penchant from devices to you. Remember, gadgets can never replace you. Give them a half hour break to do anything before they sit to study. It may be something with screens like television, I pad, smartphone or anything else. Be strict with the time limit and keep a check so that they do not indulge in any bad thing. Block the apps during exam time.

Set a homework-friendly environment. Don’t make them too much dependent on you while doing assignments. Help them with directions and suggestions. Be available to eliminate the hitches and glitches. Praise their efforts. After study time, encourage them to play outside the home. Help them to make friends. They have plenty of fascinating activities to do during this hour like cycling, playing cricket, badminton, swimming or even walking. You can also accompany them if required and possible. It provides your kids a decent platform to de-stress themselves in an intelligent and gadget freeway. Give them some healthy snacks after they return after spending this pleasure time. Then they can do some revision work or read some good books of their taste.

Finally comes the family time on the dinner table that should be completely diversion free from any gadget. It can act as a great bonding spell. Serve a meal that is nutritious but does not seem boring. You may include one thing of your child’s taste in his plate. Never force him to finish everything. Gossip, discuss their wishes, future plans, and excursion ideas etc. while eating to make it an enjoyable time. Sit them for 15 minutes in their bed before they sleep. Talk in a friendly way or tell them a story. You may also share with them your experiences in life.

Make your children available with convenience and entertainment in their leisure time leaving no scope for electronic gadgets. Make yourself a part of it. The extra actively you take interest in your child’s activities, the greater heights of success he will touch in future. These sweats will strengthen your relationship keeping them away from addictive gadgets in a happy and healthy way. You will see the miracles you had never thought of.
