Mumbai, 8 July: The local magistrate’s court directed the Mumbai police today to probe a case against the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and its functionaries for ‘cheating’ the public in the wake of the Indian Premier League (IPL) cricket spot-fixing scandal. Social activist Naresh Makani had filed a case against BCCI and others, alleging that ‘all IPL cricket matches were fixed and franchise owners were involved in it’.  The Indian cricket board’s next working committee meeting would be held in Kolkata on 28 July, BCCI interim chief Jagmohan Dalmiya said today.     pti
