We need to focus on women’s issues: Venkaiah Naidu

The Vice President of India M Venkaiah Naidu said that we need to focus on women’s issues in India, while receiving the first copy of the book ‘Journey of Women Law Reforms and The Law Commission of India – Some Insights’,  in New Delhi on Friday.
The author of the book is former Joint Secretary, Law Commission of India, Dr Pavan Sharma.

Naidu said that the author has made an excellent analysis and more studies on such issues, can help focus nation’s attention to important areas like matrimonial laws, property laws, laws relating to inheritance, succession, guardianship as well as NRI marriages and issues of sexual violence.

Naidu hoped that this book will inspire many more experts to focus on women’s issues in the next few years.
