Uddhav Thackeray gave a book about the Hindi language to Devendra Fadnavis. Fadnavis told Uddhav Thackeray that he should give the book to the newly appointed language committee chairman, Narendra Jadhav.

Uddhav Thackeray pointed out that the term of Shiv Sena’s Ambadas Danve at the legislative council would end in August, and he was given a farewell on Wednesday. Uddhav said that after the monsoon session ends, there will be no opposition leader for the next session. Hence, Uddhav Thackeray demanded the election of the opposition leader in the Maharashtra legislative assembly.

Later on Thursday, Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena Rajya Sabha MP and chief party spokesperson Sanjay Raut issued a clarification about the statement made by Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Wednesday to Uddhav Thackeray, stating that whatever the chief minister said must not be taken seriously.

“We do not have the scope to join the opposition till 2029. However, you definitely have the scope to come here, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis had told Uddhav Thackeray directly in the house, sparking discussion in political circles. After Thackeray’s statement, various arguments have erupted in political circles. However, Devendra Fadnavis is adept at making such statements and taunts. So there is no need to take any such remark or taunt he may have made seriously,” Raut said.
