The All India Congress Committee (AICC) has appointed former Madhya Pradesh chief minister Digvijay Singh trouble shooter for Telangana Congress which is now a deeply divided house with a chasm running between those who claim to be original Congressmen and outsiders who joined the party, mostlytrouble shooter for Telangana Congress from TDP. Singh has called up senior Congressmen including CLP leader Bhatti Vikramarka and asked him not to hold the meeting of the dissidents that was slated today.

The seniors in Congress have accused both PCC president A Revanth Reddy who himself came from TDP and also AICC in charge Manickram Tagore though they did not name the two before the media.

They accused Reddy of filling up the TPCC with his own men who joined the party at a later date instead of long time Congressmen. In retaliation 13 members of the newly constituted committees including widely popular Mulugu MLA Dansari Anasuya. Meanwhile, the BJP which is looking to expand in several districts especially the interiors of Telangana is said to have held parleys with senior Congress leaders inviting them to join the Saffron party.
