Sanjay Saraogi, who assumed charge as the Bihar BJP state president at the party office in Patna on Thursday, launched a sharp attack on the Opposition, saying it has become issue-less as Bihar has witnessed significant development under the NDA government since 2005.
He said before 2005, Bihar lacked adequate medical and engineering colleges, whereas today the state is steadily moving forward on the path of development. He added that the government’s efforts are also reflected in the improved condition of women, who are now making their mark across the country.

Addressing party leaders and workers at a grand felicitation ceremony, Saraogi said for him, the organisation comes first, ideology is its lifeblood, and workers are its backbone. He assured that he would discharge the responsibility entrusted to him with complete honesty and dedication.
Saraogi said that assuming charge as the Bihar BJP chief soon after the NDA’s unprecedented victory in the Assembly elections has added special significance to his responsibilities. He expressed confidence that, under the guidance of senior party leaders, he would take the organisation to even greater heights.
Praising the tenure of his predecessor, Dilip Jaiswal, Saraogi said under his leadership, the alliance secured 202 Assembly seats, which he described as unprecedented. He also noted that several party workers becoming MLAs is a highly encouraging development for the organisation.
Addressing the ceremony, Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary said in the BJP, responsibilities may change, but everyone continues to move forward by performing their duties with excellence. He expressed hope that the new state president would focus on further strengthening the organisation, as there are no elections scheduled in the next three years.
He assured the state president that the party’s nine former state presidents stand with him to provide guidance.
Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha, in his address, expressed confidence that under the leadership of the new state president, the dignity, respect, and self-esteem of party workers would increase, and together they would achieve the goal of a developed Bihar.
Earlier, Saraogi offered floral tributes to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar then proceeded to the BJP office riding a special chariot. During the roadshow, he was accompanied by several senior party leaders along the designated route. The enthusiasm of party workers was visibly high, with many seen wearing the traditional Mithila ‘paag’ (headgear) and waving party flags.
