Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav on Friday claimed that government-run Sandipani Schools, equipped with modern facilities, are emerging as centres of quality education. As a result, he said, students are leaving private schools and enrolling in these institutions.
The Chief Minister said that the State Government is establishing Sandipani Schools to secure a brighter future for children. He added that students in government schools are provided with free textbooks and bicycles.

Meritorious students securing more than 75 per cent marks in the Board examinations receive laptops, while students topping their schools are awarded scooters.

Chief Minister Dr Yadav was addressing a programme in Sleemanabad, Katni district, held to mark the inauguration of the Sandipani Schools.
During the event, Dr Yadav dedicated the newly constructed Sandipani Schools at Jhinjhari and Bahoriband to the people of the region.
The Jhinjhari Sandipani School has been constructed at a cost of over ₹38.61 crore, while the Bahoriband Sandipani School has been built at a cost of more than ₹35.63 crore.
He said the schools seamlessly combine the values and dignity of the traditional Gurukul system with the efficiency and technology of the digital age.
He also announced that Guru Purnima Mahotsav will be celebrated across the State with great enthusiasm.
Emphasising the revered place of teachers in Indian tradition, he said that since a Guru leads people from darkness to light, the State Government has introduced the practice of addressing university Vice Chancellors as Kulguru.
