‘RJD, Congress balloons have completely burst’: Modi claims bumper Bihar voting for NDA in first phase

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday claimed that the bumper voting in the first phase of the Bihar Assembly elections 2025 happened for the NDA candidates.

Addressing a public rally in Bhabua, PM Modi took a dig at the opposition’s Mahagathbandhan, saying that the RJD and the Congress were elated when the first elections began, but their balloons have completely burst after the first phase of voting.

“The RJD and Congress tried very hard to mislead the youth of Bihar, but their entire plan failed,” Modi said.

He gave the credit for the higher voter turnout to the “conscious” youth of Bihar.

“The youth of Bihar are watching the intentions of the RJD and Congress. Whenever the prince of Jungle Raj is asked how he will fulfil the big lies he has told, he says he has a plan. But when asked what the plan is, he shuts his mouth,” the PM stated.

He also sought to woo the women voters, saying their blessings have always been upon the NDA. “I am grateful to the women’s power of Bihar. In the first phase of elections, there has been a tremendous turnout for the NDA candidates. I have come to seek your support, your cooperation, and your blessings.”

The Prime Minister also warned the people of Bihar about the alleged plan of the RJD.

“You must have seen what kind of election campaign songs of the RJD are going viral… These RJD people are waiting for their government to come so that the old dirty business of kidnapping and extortion can start again. The RJD will not provide you employment; they will extort money from you,” the PM alleged.

After the first phase of voting, Congress had also claimed that the highest voter turnout in the last 30 years indicates the Mahagathbandhan is coming to power.

“We are forming the next government with a clear majority. Maybe, more than just a clear majority,” Congress leader Pawan Khera had claimed.
