All eyes are on tomorrow’s crucial Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirtha Kshetra Trust meeting convened to decide on the resignations of General Secretary Champat Rai and Trustee Dr Anil Mishra along with other matters.

Both Champat and Mishra resigned last month after the donation theft controversy surrounding the Ram temple surfaced.

The Trust announced a five-point agenda for an urgent meeting regarding the Ram Temple donation theft. The main agenda will be deciding on the resignations submitted by the Trust’s General Secretary, Champat Rai, and member Dr. Anil Mishra.

Trust Treasurer Swami Govind Dev Giri said here on Sunday that the meeting will be held at Mani Ram Das Chavni at 3 pm.

Other items on the agenda include discussing the SIT’s interim report on the calculation of funds received from the Trust’s donations, considering future temple management arrangements, reviewing information and approving the unaudited income-expenditure sheet, balance sheet and other financial statements for the 2025-26 financial year, and addressing other necessary matters.

However, Trust Chairperson Mahant Nritya Gopal Das is ill and receiving treatment at the Medanta hospital in Lucknow. So his presence in the meeting is doubtful.

Meanwhile , the investigation into the Ram Mandir offering theft case has now shifted its focus to the financial activities of accused Anukalp Mishra.

Based on evidence gathered so far, sources indicate that Anukalp is considered the mastermind behind the theft. Scrutiny of his assets, expenditures, and financial transactions has been intensified.

According to sources, the police may soon seek custody remand for Anukul Mishra, Luvkush, Karunesh, and Ramashankar Mishra, along with other accused. Through interrogation, information will be gathered about the entire network and the distribution of the stolen funds.
