Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Saturday visited the families of those who lost their loved ones in the Gambhira bridge collapse in Vadodara, Gujarat. The bridge, located over the Mahisagar River, collapsed recently, resulting in significant loss of life.
During his visit, Gandhi expressed solidarity with the grieving families and emphasized that the tragedy was the result of administrative negligence and corruption. He assured them that the Congress party stands firmly by their side during this difficult time.
In a separate engagement, Gandhi met with dairy farmers and cooperative leaders in Jeetodia, located in Anand district. He reiterated the Congress party’s commitment to empowering local producers and amplifying their voices.
The interaction underscored the party’s focus on grassroots issues and its efforts to address the concerns of local communities.
Later in the day, Gandhi addressed a training camp for Congress workers in Anand, attended primarily by district unit presidents.
The camp, organized under the ‘Sangathan Sujhav Abhiyan’, aims to chart a roadmap for the party’s Mission 2027 in preparation for the upcoming Gujarat assembly elections.
