He was received at the Amausi airport by Uttar Pradesh Congress president Ajay Rai, legislature party leader Aradhana Mishra, and other senior party leaders. From the airport, Gandhi proceeded to Rae Bareli by road.

Meanwhile, ahead of his arrival, political banners have been installed in Rae Bareli depicting Rahul Gandhi, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, and Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav as incarnations of Brahma, Vishnu, and Mahesh, a symbolic gesture that is sure to attract controversy.

Rahul Gandhi will interact with the booth presidents of two assembly constituencies on Wednesday and will listen to the grievances of the people.
During his visit, Rahul Gandhi will engage in a series of political and public outreach programmes. According to Congress District President Pankaj Tiwari, on the first day, Gandhi will interact with booth presidents from the Harchandpur Assembly segment at Batohi Resort, Didauli.
He will then attend a function organized by the Prajapati Mahasabha near Pragatipuram Colony on the Lucknow-Prayagraj Highway.
He will also inaugurate Emperor Ashoka’s pillar at Gora Bazar in Rae Bareli city, followed by a sapling plantation program in Amar Shaheed Veera Pasi Van Gram, located in Mulihamau village of the Rahi block.
Later in the evening, he will interact with booth-level workers from the Unchahar Assembly segment, again at Batohi Resort. Rahul Gandhi will stay overnight at the NTPC Guest House in Unchahar.
On the second day of his visit, Thursday, Gandhi will meet with members of the public and local representatives in the morning at NTPC Unchahar. He will also preside over the District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (DISHA) meeting at Bachat Bhawan, where he will review development projects and welfare schemes being implemented in his constituency.
This visit is Gandhi’s first since April 29, when he toured Rae Bareli following his victory in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
