Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to inaugurate the all-India conference of DGPs and IGPs to be held at Border Security Force Academy, Tekanpur, in Madhya Pradesh’s Gwalior district between 6-8 January.
Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh reached Gwalior on Saturday on a brief visit where he conducted a review meeting at Rajmata Vijaya Raje Scindia air terminal with officers of Central Armed Police Forces on preparations for the PM’s visit. He then flew to Orchha Ram temple in Tikamgarh district on a BSF chopper.
Apart from the PM and Rajnath Singh, ministers of state for home and senior functionaries from security agencies will be present during the conference. An estimated gathering of 250 senior IPS officers from across the country will hear the Prime Minister speak on ‘Internal Security’ and the ‘Negative Impact of Social Media Among Young Children’. National Security Advisor Ajit Doval will also address the gathering on cross-border terrorism.
