Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be on a day-long visit to Bihar and West Bengal on Friday, where he will lay the foundation stone, inaugurate, and dedicate multiple development projects to the nation, a release from the Prime Minister’s Office said.
He will lay the foundation stone, inaugurate and dedicate to the nation multiple development projects worth over Rs 7,200 crore at Motihari in Bihar at around 11:30 AM and will also address a public function, the PMO said Thursday.

Thereafter, he will visit West Bengal and lay the foundation stone, inaugurate and dedicate to the nation multiple development projects worth over Rs 5000 crore at Durgapur at around 3 PM. He will also address the gathering on the occasion.
Projects in Bihar include automatic signaling between the Samastipur-Bachhwara rail line, doubling of the Darbhanga-Thalwara and Samastipur-Rambhadrapur rail lines, four-laning of the Ara bypass of NH-319 and inauguration of a 4-lane Parariya to Mohania section of NH-319, inauguration of the New Software Technology Parks of India facility at Darbhanga, and State-of-the-art Incubation Facility of STPI at Patna, launch of modern fisheries infrastructure under Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana, and flagging of four new Amrit Bharat trains.
Projects in West Bengal include the foundation stone for Bharat Petroleum Corp Ltd (BPCL) City Gas Distribution project in Bankura and Purulia districts, dedication of Retrofitting Pollution Control System-Flue Gas Desulphurization (FGD) of Durgapur Steel Thermal Power Station and Raghunathpur Thermal Power Station, and doubling of Purulia – Kotshila Rail Line.
