Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the fourth edition of World Food India (WFI) 2025 on Thursday at 6:00 PM at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi, a release from his office said.
The event, scheduled from September 25 to 28, will bring together over 1,700 exhibitors, 500 international buyers, and representatives from more than 100 countries to showcase India’s strengths in the food processing sector, food sustainability, and production of nutritious and organic food.

Over 100 countries, including New Zealand and Saudi Arabia as Partner Countries, and Japan, Russia, the UAE, and Vietnam as Focus Countries, will participate in the event.
Multiple sessions will cover topics such as India as a Global Food Processing Hub, Sustainability and Net Zero in Food Processing, and Frontiers in Food Processing, among others.
Fourteen pavilions will feature specific themes, including international, state, and ministry pavilions, as well as areas dedicated to pet food, technology, and start-up innovation. B2B, B2G, and G2G meetings will facilitate business interactions and partnerships.
Over Rs 770 crore will be provided to around 26,000 beneficiaries for micro projects in the food processing sector under the PMFME Scheme.
World Food India 2025 aims to position India as a global hub for food innovation, investment, and sustainability. The event will showcase India’s food processing potential, encourage investments and partnerships, promote innovation and sustainability in the food sector, and enhance India’s food security and exports.
The event is expected to attract around 100,000 visitors and feature prominent dignitaries, including Russia’s Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Patrushev and Union Ministers Nitin Gadkari and Chirag Paswan.
