Prime Minister Narendra Modi will dedicate and lay the foundation stone for projects worth Rs 1.21 lakh crore at a function in Banswara on September 25, coinciding with the birth anniversary of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya.

The bonanza of mega projects for Rajasthan include the foundation stone laying of the Rs 45,000 Crore Mahi-Banswara Atomic Energy Plant,along with the launch of two Vande Bharat trains and one express train service, an official spokesman said, quoting Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma briefing officials at a high level review meeting.

The atomic plant, to be built in the vicinity of the huge Mahi Dam, will be Rajasthan’s second after Rawatbhata. PM Modi’s initiative will mark a milestone in India’s push to become a global leader in clean energy, the CM has said at the meeting. PM Modi will also dedicate several other clean energy projects from different states, he said.

Among the new train services to be flagged off on Serptember 25 are the Bikaner–Delhi Cantt Vande Bharat, Jodhpur–Delhi Cantt Vande Bharat, and Udaipur–Chandigarh Express. The CM has directed officials to coordinate with railway authorities to ensure smooth execution of the launch.

During the event, the Prime Minister will also interact with beneficiaries of the PM-KUSUM Yojana,CM Sharma has informed.
