Delhi LG inaugurates first-ever all-women police station, calls it symbol of confidence and trust
Police Commissioner Satish Golchha, Special Commissioners, and other senior officers of the Delhi Police were present on the occasion.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi Monday inaugurated 184 newly constructed Type-VII multi-storey flats for Members of Parliament at Baba Kharak Singh Marg in New Delhi. The complex is designed to be self-sufficient, equipped with modern amenities to cater to the functional needs of MPs.
“Our MPs will face no issues in the new residences and will be able to focus more on their work,” the prime minister said after inaugurating the flats.

He further said: “Despite a shortage of MP residences, no new residence was constructed from 2014 to 2024. We took this work as a campaign. Around 350 MP residences have been built since 2014,” Modi said.

The project incorporates green technology, adhering to the standards of the GRIHA 3-star rating and complying with the National Building Code (NBC) 2016.
The complex features environmentally sustainable design, contributing to energy conservation, renewable energy generation, and effective waste management.
The complex is designed to be inclusive, with features that make it accessible to people with disabilities.
Each residential unit offers approximately 5,000 square feet of carpet area, providing ample space for both residential and official functions.
During the inauguration ceremony, the PM planted a Sindoor sapling at the residential premises and interacted with sramjeevis (workers) involved in the project’s development. While specific quotes from PM Modi’s address are not available, his interaction with the workers and the inauguration of the complex highlight the government’s commitment to providing modern and sustainable living spaces for MPs.
