Omar thanks PM Modi for highlighting love for sports among J&K youth

Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Sunday thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for highlighting the keen interest the boys and girls of J&K have for all sports.
Omar was reacting to Sunday’s ‘Mann ki Baat’ of the prime minister during which he “applauded my sisters and brothers of Jammu and Kashmir for celebrating sports, notably the Khelo India Water Sports Festival! Also spoke to Rashmita Sahoo and Mohsin Ali, who took part in the tournament”.

Omar said on X; “The youth of J&K don’t lack talent or enthusiasm, unfortunately they lack opportunity & exposure. Your mention of their sporting prowess will certainly add to their enthusiasm. I hope corporate India will also play its part by using their CSR funds to help develop sports infrastructure in J&K”.
