Coal India panel inspects safety infra at MCL
A high-level delegation of the Coal India Corporate Safety Board visited Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL) to review safety practices and infrastructure across its operational areas.

Pledging its commitment to inclusive growth and women-led development, Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL) has launched “SWAYAMSIDDHA,” a flagship women empowerment initiative aimed at nurturing leadership, enhancing professional competence, and building confidence among women employees, PSU officials said on Tuesday.
The initiative, conceptualised by Women in Public Sector–MCL, focuses on skill development, leadership orientation, digital literacy, and entrepreneurial thinking, enabling women to excel in both professional and personal domains.

Suday A. Kaole, Chairman-cum-Managing Director (CMD), MCL, officially launched the initiative at the company headquarters and highlighted the company’s commitment to inclusive growth, as well as the pivotal role of women in organisational excellence and nation-building.

The event featured a keynote session by Nishita Baliarsingh, Co-Founder & CEO, Nexus Power, and Nikita Baliarsingh, Co-Founder & CIO, Nexus Power, who shared insights on leadership, innovation, digital empowerment, and entrepreneurship.
Senior officials, including Keshav Rao, Director (Human Resources), Pranab Kumar Patel, Chief Vigilance Officer, Ajit Kumar Behura, Director (Finance), and Sanjay Kumar Jha, Director (Technical-Operations), along with Rashmi Behura and Sashikala Jha, Vice-Chairpersons, Jagruti Mahila Mandal, were present on the occasion.
