Divisional Railway Manager of East Coast Railway, Khurda Road Division, Alok Tripathi, today conducted a comprehensive Window Trailing Inspection from Khurda Road to Jakhapura and Nayagarh (Keonjhar) Railway Section, accompanied by Senior Divisional Officers.
The inspection focused on strengthening safety standards, improving infrastructure reliability, and ensuring seamless train operations in this important corridor. Tripathi reviewed the condition of track geometry, alignment, bridges, culverts, level crossings, signalling installations, interlocking arrangements, turnouts, drainage systems, and protective works, along with fencing and guarding at vulnerable locations.

He also assessed the progress of various infrastructure development works, including track renewals, bridge rehabilitation, station yard improvements, line-capacity enhancement projects and upgrades to signalling and electrification systems. Passenger amenities such as cleanliness, lighting, drinking water facilities, seating arrangements, display boards, and safety provisions at stations were examined to enhance the overall travel experience.
This inspection aims to ensure safer train operations, improved infrastructure utilisation, and better services for passengers and freight customers, reinforcing the commitment of Khurda Road Division to provide reliable and efficient railway connectivity in the region.
