No welfare schemes if you vote for Opposition: YS Jagan

Voting for the opposition will be akin to giving them the license to withdraw all welfare schemes introduced by the YSRCP government, warned Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, holding his second mammoth rally to get party cadre ready for the upcoming electoral battle.

Addressing the rally at Eluru today, Reddy also attacked his sister and APCC chief YS Sharmila as a covert of N Chandrababu Naidu while refraining from mentioning her name.

“Chandrababu has his coverts in other parties. These leaders head other parties but internally they work for him. But I am not like that. I am alone,” said Reddy.

Taking a dig at Naidu’s clarion call to the people through his programme ‘Ra Kadali Ra (Let’s move)’, the Chief Minister said it was not a call to the people who were not with him but an invite to other parties to join him since he cannot fight alone.

“Chandrababu is inviting Pawan Kalyan by promising returns, inviting BJP by using his family relations and also those who had put YS Rajasekhar Reddy’s name in the chargesheet (Congress). His sole agenda is to split votes,” warned Reddy.

He again drew a parallel from Mahabharata calling himself Arjuna and the public as Krishna while the welfare schemes were his weapons to fight against the foxes surrounding him.

He claimed that he had pressed the button 124 times in the past five years to credit the money in the accounts of the people but urged people to press only two buttons, one for Assembly and another for Parliament to support him in the upcoming elections.

“If you press the button for the fan symbol (YSRCP), you will never face Chandragrahan (lunar eclipse) again. Otherwise Chandrababu Naidu will suck out your blood like Chandramukhi (ghost),” he said while he asked his cadres to use social media since the news media was working in favour of the TDP.

The YSRCP supremo has ruthlessly dropped MPs and MLAs and even shifted them to other constituencies to beat the anti-incumbency this time.
