Fulfilling his promise to create one crore jobs for Bihar’s youth over the next five years, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Thursday unveiled a major initiative to fast-track recruitment across state government departments.

In a message posted on X, he announced that all administrative departments have been directed to submit detailed vacancy proposals by 31 December, marking the first decisive step in the state’s accelerated employment push. The General Administration Department will examine these requisitions promptly and forward them to the respective recruitment commissions.

All recruitment commissions and selection agencies have been directed to publish a year-long recruitment calendar in January 2026.

In addition to other necessary information, this calendar must clearly mention the advertisement publication date, tentative examination schedule, and final result announcement date. Regardless of the number of examination stages, the time between advertisement publication and final result declaration must not exceed one year under any circumstances.

The Chief Minister said that all recruitment commissions and selection agencies have been instructed to conduct examinations in a fully transparent and fair manner. Strict and immediate action must be taken to prevent the use of unfair means in examinations. If any irregularities are detected, the guilty will be identified and punished through fast-track courts.

“Instructions have also been issued to increase the number of online Computer-Based Test (CBT) examination centres in Bihar so that exams can be conducted on time and smoothly,” he added.
