India-US trade deal 99% finalised, says Sergio Gor
The US Ambassador to India shared that negotiations between India and the US have been underway for nearly one-and-a-half years.
Addressing media persons in Bhopal, Patwari reasoned that if cheap agricultural products from the US entered India at zero per cent tax, the incomes of Indian farmers would be completely devastated.

Alleging that the recent trade deal between India and the USA would seriously harm the welfare and income of Indian farmers, Madhya Pradesh Congress president Jitu Patwari on Wednesday stated that the Congress party would aggressively take to the streets if the farmers across the country were betrayed in any way.

Speaking about Madhya Pradesh, Patwari alleged that the state was facing a “serious financial crisis” due to rising debt and demanded that the government issue a white paper forthwith on its economic condition.
“Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav has surpassed all his predecessors, including Shivraj Singh Chouhan, in taking loans,” Patwari charged.
The Congress leader claimed that the state government had taken loans amounting to Rs 1.78 lakh crore so far in the current financial year and that, including the recently raised Rs 5,200 crore, the state’s debt was increasing by around Rs 213 crore a day.
The BJP has been in power in MP since 2003, barring a brief 15-month period from December 2018 to March 2020 when Congress ruled the state.
Patwari also alleged that the state government was trying to repay loans by selling state assets. He claimed that 101 assets had so far been sold for just Rs 1,100 crore and that preparations were underway to hurriedly sell more assets.
“All this is a result of corruption and plunder,” he alleged.
Patwari also demanded that all ministers facing serious allegations should be removed from Chief Minister Yadav’s council of ministers.
In this context, he named State Health Minister and Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla, Urban Development Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya, and Tribal Welfare Minister Vijay Shah.
Patwari said that while Shukla was responsible for the 27 deaths of kids due to the coldrif cough syrup, Vijayvargiya was responsible for deaths due to contaminated water in Indore. Patwari added that Shah is also accused of making a controversial remark against Army officer Colonel Sofia Quereshi.
