Noting that the census is not only a process of data collection but an important step to give the right direction to the country’s future, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav on Thursday said that the census is the backbone of the country and the foundation of development.
Dr Yadav expressed these views during a programme organised at Samatva Bhavan in Chief Minister’s residence at Bhopal on the occasion of the launch of Census 2027 process in the state. Chief Minister Dr Yadav initiated the self-enumeration process in the state by doing initial registration on the self-enumeration portal ‘se.census.gov.in’.

He said that this time, census is being conducted with digital and modern technology, and the people of the state should participate in it with full sincerity and truthfulness.
“This census is for the bright future of our children”, he emphasised.
In the state, self-enumeration work will be conducted online from April 16 to April 30. From May 1 to May 30, house listing will be carried out. This process will be conducted digitally.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that through the census it can be known whether the development process is reaching smoothly to even the last person standing at the last mile of society. He said this census is for the bright future of the next generation.
“It is the duty of every citizen to provide correct, accurate and complete information in the census”, the CM asserted.
He pointed out that officers and employees engaged in the census are performing a sacred task of nation-building, and their hard work and accurate execution of work will strengthen the future of the country.
