Mehbooba Mufti to join Rahul’s Bharat Jodo Yatra

PDP chief and former chief minister Mehbooba Mufti, on Wednesday, said she will join Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra when it reaches Jammu and Kashmir next month.

Mehbooba tweeted after receiving formal invitation for the yatra; “Salute his indomitable courage & I believe it is my duty to stand with someone who has the courage to challenge fascist forces. Will be joining him in his march towards better India”.

Two other former chief ministers, Dr. Farooq Abdullah, who is also MP from Srinagar and Omar Abdullah, have already announced their decision to join the yatra.

Dr. Abdullah said he will receive the Rahul-led yatra when it reaches Lakhanpur that is gateway to Jammu and Kashmir from Punjab.

Another Gupkar Alliance member and CPM leader Mohammad Yousuf Tarigami will also join the yatra.

AICC General Secretary Incharge Organisation KC Venugopal MP and AICC Incharge J&K affairs Rajni Patil MP met Lt Governor Manoj Sinha to discuss about the upcoming Bharat Jodo Yatra. KB Byju security advisor to Rahul Gandhi accompanied them.

They were joined by JKPCC President Vikar Rasool Wani, AICC Joint Secretary Manoj Yadav, GA Mir, Tariq Hameed Karra and Raman Bhalla in the meeting with the LG.
