Assam CM challenges Cong on beef ban
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has stated that he is ready to impose a statewide ban on beef if the Congress leader Bhupen Kumar Borah formally requests it in writing.
Addressing the voters in Sarojini Nagar area of the state capital, which is the part of Mohanlalganj Lok Sabha seat, on Monday, Mayawati said that a separate Awadh state is required for its speedy all-round development.
BSP supremo Mayawati has announced that if her party’s government is formed at the Centre, then a new Awadh state will be created in which Lucknow will also be included.

Earlier too during her election meetings in western UP, Mayawati had raked up the issue of setting up a separate western state in UP.

She said that the BJP and the RSS are going from village to village to promote free ration. They are asking for votes in exchange for it whereas this ration is being distributed from the people’s tax money.
Mayawati said that you are eating your own foodgrain, not that of the BJP and the RSS. In her address, she also attacked the Congress and the SP for discriminating in reservation.
She further claimed that the BJP won’t return to power if they do not tamper with the EVMs.
