Preparations are in full swing for Braj Rangotsava in Mathura with the Braj Teerth Vikas Parishad leaving no stone unturned to ensure the success of this event, renowned globally as Braj Holi.

The celebrations in Mathura kick off with Rangotsav, lasting for 40 days, starting from Basant Panchami and concluding on Rang Panchami on April 1.

People from all over the world visit Mathura, Vrindavan, and Barsana to witness the famous Holi celebrations.               Barsana’s Laddu Holi and Latthmar Holi are globally acclaimed.

The schedule for the Holi celebrations in Braj includes Laddu Holi at Shreeji Temple (Radha Rani Temple) in Mathura on March 17, Lathmar Holi in Barsana on March 18, and Lathmar Holi at Nand Bhavan in Nandgaon on March 19.

This will be followed by Rangbhari Ekadashi in Vrindavan on March 20, Chaddi Mar Holi in Gokul on March 21, and Phoolon Ki Holi at Banke Bihari Temple on March 21. On March 22, Holi will be celebrated in Gokul, while Holika Dahan will take place at Dwarkadhish Temple, Mathura Vishram Ghat, and Banke Bihari Vrindavan on March 24.

The grand finale of the Holi festival will be on March 25, with Holi celebrations throughout Braj, followed by Daauji Ka Huranga on March 26, and the conclusion of the Holi festival with Rang Panchami at Rangnath Ji Temple.

The Braj Tirth Vikas Parishad has made special arrangements for cultural programmes during the Holi festivities, including cultural stages for local artists at various locations. On March 26, Daauji Ka Huranga will be organized, where women beat Panda community men with sticks after throwing colors.

UP Minister of Tourism and Culture Jaiveer Singh said here on Tuesday, “The Braj Rangotsava stands as one of Uttar Pradesh’s main festivals, drawing both domestic and international tourists to our country to experience the vibrant colors of Indian traditions. This not only boosts tourism across borders but also facilitates a rewarding exchange of cultures and traditions. We eagerly anticipate welcoming a large number of tourists, as we do every year, thereby contributing to an increase in employment opportunities and revenue for the state.”
