The South African skipper enjoyed a remarkable month across formats. She scored 138 runs in two ODIs against New Zealand before dominating the T20I series against India, where she amassed 330 runs in five matches at an average of 82.50 and a strike rate of 168.36, including one century and three fifties.
Her standout knock came in the third T20I against India when she smashed 115 off just 53 balls, hitting 14 fours and five sixes to guide South Africa to a nine-wicket win while chasing 192. Her performances helped South Africa secure a commanding 4-1 series victory ahead of the upcoming ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in England and Wales.
Meanwhile, Bangladesh fast bowler Nahid Rana claimed the ICC Men’s Player of the Month award for the first time after an impressive ODI series against New Zealand. Rana picked up eight wickets in three ODIs at an average of 16.75 and an economy of 4.46, helping Bangladesh seal a 2-1 series win. After a quiet first ODI, the pacer bounced back strongly with a five-wicket haul in the second match before taking two more wickets in the decider in Chattogram.
His performances also earned him the Player of the Series award, making him the first Bangladesh player to win the ICC Men’s Player of the Month honour since Mehidy Hasan Miraz in April last year.
